Problems with iPhone Safari

Hi there,
first of all i like to thank you for typeface.js. It's great and gives our websites that little something...
However, we noticed that iPhone's Safari seems to have difficulties. It doesn't display headlines at all (not even with a "fallback" font). This problem does not occur on MacOS Safari.

Hey everybody.
I just created a new TYPO3 site. I want to use two typefaces here, so I converted two faces of this font.
Elements to render have the typeface-js class and an additional to tell them what face to use.
Works fine in FF and Safari on my MAC, but the types aren't rendered at all on my PC (Win7)
in FF3.5, Chrome, Opera or IE either.
Can anybody help me?

I absolutely LOVE typeface.js, I use it all the time. But, I really wish it were a bit more flexible (for instance, wish it had render-to-canvas capabilities) for web app ideas I have that can't work without that functionality.

Hi
I'm using a font on my website with this method and it works really great, but in certain parts i need to have a bold heading with the font i want to use.
So when i convert the font i want to use with the converting tool i only get a regular format, which when i apply a font-weight the typeface.js doesn't work at all.
so can someone tell me how i can make a bold version of my font for typeface.js
Cheers

Using Typeface.js within a GWT app
dindeman

1 May 2010 18:29
I am looking for some sample Java code demonstrating how to get AJAX content displayed into a custom font using Typeface.js within a GWT app. I have tried a little bit by calling the following native function
native void Typeface_renderDocument() /*-{
$wnd._typeface_js.renderDocument();
}-*/;
- after having filled the relevant widget with the AJAX content, and
- after calling the following function on the widget :
void applyTypeface(Widget widget) {
widget.addStyleName("typeface-js");
widget.getElement().getStyle().setProperty("fontFamily", "Helvetiker");
Typeface_renderDocument();
}
...where Helvetiker is a custom font (actually available from Typeface.js fonts.
But that didn't work.
I am looking forward to any suggestions since I am bit stuck here.

I has been fighting with my pages believing I did something wrong, but the samples right here won't show. I just moved my security level down assuming there was something with javascript or security in this computer, but it didn't work. There isn't even an error message.

Hi,
I find Typeface working really well, except for one thing. Within a Sitefinity project I can mamage to replace fonts in the menu with the test-fonts, but not with my own font. The generated js-file works perfect for all h1 to h6 styles within the same website.
Any ideas?
Best regards, Patrick

Hi guys,
I'm, trying to use typeface for my blog, which is hosted on blogspot.
And, I can not add classes into the div's.
I was going thru other font replacemets for websites, and I found Cufon
http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/
Cufon is good and easy to use, but we can not select the text. It converts text into images which are non-selectable.
Cufon has code like this
<head>
<script src='http://cufon.shoqolate.com/js/cufon-yui.js' type='text/javascript'/>
<script src='Vegur_400.font.js' type='text/javascript'/>
<script type='text/javascript'>
Cufon.replace('h1');
</script>
</head>
<body>
<h1>this is heading</h1>
</body>
"Cufon,replace('h1')" replaces H1 tags
So, we can control any class or selector from this code before "head"
is there such code for typeface also?
Pls help me
Thanks

Rendering doesn't function... For what reason? File location? OTF file?
Bart
|
2 Apr 2010 6:25
Dear all,
This script is great if it would work. The rendering doesn't work for me. Look down for a part of the code. The JS-scripts are stored on the root share. As well as the font files. An example of the font file is Locator-Light.otf.
What is there still wrong? Should the font file be TTF? Where does the font need to be stored on the server? Etcetera...
I tried already to change some things but I cannot figure out what could be wrong.
Thanks in advance for your investigation and replies!
Best regards,
Bart

<div class="typeface-js" style="font-family: Locator-Medium">
| ME |</div>
This script is great if it would work. The rendering doesn't work for me. Look down for a part of the code. The JS-scripts are stored on the root share. As well as the font files. An example of the font file is Locator-Light.otf.
What is there still wrong? Should the font file be TTF? Where does the font need to be stored on the server? Etcetera...
I tried already to change some things but I cannot figure out what could be wrong.
Thanks in advance for your investigation and replies!
Best regards,
Bart

Know problems with uppercase german umlaut and certain fonts?

Hi,
are there any problems know for support of an uppercase german umlaut in certain fonts?
With a converted font the uppercase umlaut is shown without the dots. Lowercase works and it works with one of your test fonts (Gentilis). Also not working are uppercase glyphs with an accent.
It looks to me like the line-height cuts it off, but adjusting the line-height (or the margin or the padding) in CSS doesn't change anything.
Any ideas on that? Thanks! And thanks a lot for the work you put all put in this project.
Steffen
Update: Removed the umlaut-examples because i kept being seen as spam.

Drawing directly onto canvas

Is there some way I can draw text directly to a canvas given some coordinates and a font size? The reason I want to do this is to preserve transparency and boost performance by writing everything to a master canvas.

Welcome. I have a problem with the script "typeface".js. I downloaded the latest script (but older react the same way). The site does not display the font defined for the typeface font.typeface.js.
Before the full implementation of the code I checked the script typeface works - yes it works.
But after uploading all the CMS Made Simple is no longer running.
Please help what to do. Has anyone already had such a problem?
Thanks...
